Washington’s Mount Shuksan is the jewel of the North Cascades, and across Puget Sound the slopes of Mount Olympus are approached through the luxuriant Hoh Rain Forest. By heading farther south, you can take a GoTrek-guided climb to the summit of California’s Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states.
